Shield
The parachute symbolizes the airborne mission of the Battalion and the Division. The lightning bolt suggests speed and shock capability of the Division. The dagger signifies the Division's strength and power. The fleur-de-lis represents the unit's activation and service in France during World War II.
Crest
The four spears allude to the unit's campaign participation: Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Rhineland, and Central Europe, during World War II. The wings denote the multifunctional nature of the Battalion, highlighting the unit's World War II Meritorious Unit Commendation.
The coat of arms was approved on 1 August 2006.
